By October 15, 2024No Comments

On August 28, 2024, the African Business Roundtable (ABR) had the privilege of hosting Christopher Bielecki, Ph.D, Counselor for Agricultural Affairs, and Tolani Abegunde, Agricultural Specialist from the United States Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service (USDA – FAS).

In attendance from ABR were:

• Mr. Samuel Ayodele, Executive Secretary/Head of Operations

• Mr. Dotun Ajayi, Executive Director, West Africa

• Mrs. Heather Akanni, Consultant/Expert on Agribusiness

• Ms. Lizzy Ashikwe, Admin Manager

The discussions centered on overcoming restrictive trade and enhancing policy consistency, especially in the import and export of specific agricultural products identified for intervention. By working together, ABR and USDA aim to foster greater trade facilitation, improve market accessibility, and support sustainable agricultural practices in Nigeria.

Exciting times are ahead as we work towards creating new opportunities and addressing the challenges in international trade in specific agricultural products!
