The 2025 United Nations Ocean Conference, co-hosted by France and Costa Rica, will take place in Nice, France, from 9–13 June 2025. The conference aims to advance the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 14 (SDG 14): Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas, and marine resources for sustainable development.
With the theme “Accelerating Action and Mobilizing All Actors to Conserve and Sustainably Use the Ocean,” the conference will include:
- Opening and closing segments
- 10 plenary sessions
- 10 Ocean Action Panels
Its focus is to drive urgent and collaborative efforts to conserve and sustainably use marine resources while identifying innovative solutions to fully implement SDG 14.
