ABR Executive Secretary’s Mission to Accra, Ghana: Advancing Africa’s Economic Development

PAFTRAC Exco and Executives of the African Business Council in Accra, Ghana at the 50th Anniversary of the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA) on 21st July, 2024

From 19th – 21st July 2024, Mr. Samuel Ayodele, Executive Secretary of the African Business Roundtable (ABR), participated in strategic events in Accra, Ghana. Representing Mr. Samuel Dossou Aworet, ABR’s President and PAFTRAC’s Vice-Chairman, Mr. Ayodele engaged in discussions to strengthen the African private sector’s role in achieving the Africa 2063 Agenda and AfCFTA objectives.

Key highlights included:

1. Joining a High-Level Panel on investment in education, technology, and skills development for “Made in Africa” products, hosted by the Africa Business Council.

2. Attending the PAFTRAC Executive Committee Meeting to review initiatives driving Africa’s trade and investment landscape.

3. Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA). Dr. Sidi Ould TAH, the President of the Bank (BADEA) alongside dignitaries such as H.E. President Nana Akufo-Addo of Ghana, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, President of the African Development Bank, and Professor Benedict Oramah, President & Chairman of the Board of Afreximbank highlighted the impact and importance of BADEA in Africa’s developmental agenda.

These engagements underscore ABR’s commitment to advancing regional integration and economic development in Africa. Through collaboration with high-level stakeholders, ABR continues to champion initiatives that drive sustainable growth, enhance trade partnerships, and contribute to the resilience of African economies.
